Who are we?

Havza Vocational School started educational activities in 1993-1994. The district of Havza is of historical importance because the Founding Father of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, started the Turkish War of Independence on May 25, 1919, from Havza.

We currently have seven active programs: Office Management and Executive Assistant (started in 1994-1995), Business Management ( started in 1996-1997), Tourism and Hotel Management (started 2002-2003), Physiotherapy (started 2009-2010), Real Estate and Property Management (started 2012-2013), Occupational Health and Safety (started in 2014-2015), Civil Defense and Firefighting (started in 2016-2017).

Civil Defense and Firefighting will start accepting students in 2022-2023. All programs except Civil Defense and Firefighting are highly demanded by international students. Currently, Physiotherapy has the highest number of international students registered, mainly because it has both daytime and evening education. Our academic staff for international students comprises Faculty Member Mustafa SEKMEN, Faculty Member Alp Eren KAYASANDIK, Instructor Dr Mehmet Ali ZENGİN, and Instructor Dr. Cihan YAYLACI. They have national and international publications.

Why should you study with us?

Havza Vocational School is located on the Samsun-Ankara highway, with easy access to nearby destinations. Our students do not face any problems regarding accommodation. The courses are taught by academics who are experts in their fields, both practically and theoretically. The football, volleyball and basketball fields in the School's garden allow students to engage in sports activities in their spare time.

Havza Vocational School students can participate in Erasmus learning and internship mobilities to study in Europe, get to know European cultures, establish cross-border friendships with international students and gain experience abroad.

Within the scope of Erasmus learning mobility, our students can go to one of the 27 EU member countries (Germany, Sweden, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Latvia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Denmark, Hungary, Estonia, Malta, Finland, Poland, France, Portugal, Southern Cyprus, Romania, Croatia, Slovakia, Netherlands, Slovenia, Ireland, Greece, Spain) and program countries (Iceland, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia and Liechtenstein). Our facilities can meet all the training and recreational needs of our students. We have a physical therapy application laboratory, a first aid and exercise application laboratory, an occupational health and safety applications laboratory, ten classrooms and four lecture halls. There is also a conference hall to hold various events. Our computer laboratory is open for our students' use.

In the on-campus student cafeteria, student menus consisting of four kinds of meals are provided to our students. The menus are priced at a very reasonable price (~0.15 USD as of 2022). The meals are prepared seasonally, considering the calorie and nutritional values, under the supervision of food engineers and nutritionists. A state dormitory belonging to Education Credit and Hostels Institution (KYK) is adjacent to our vocational School's border and is ready to meet our international students' housing needs. There are football, volleyball and basketball courts in our School's garden. Private hostels and cafeterias around our School serve students.

Within the scope of Erasmus+ activities, students are informed regularly, and the processes of the students who want to participate in the mobility are planned under the supervision of the Erasmus coordinator.

Academicians working in the School participate in 1001 and 1002 TUBITAK (the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) research projects, national and international congresses, fairs and events related to their fields of expertise.

The Occupational Health and Safety Program offers distance education opportunities. Lecture notes of all courses taught within the scope of this program are available online.

Is it all about studying?

Havza Vocational School students can perform sports activities in the football and basketball teams they have established comprising of international students. In addition, sports and entertainment events are organized at various times in cooperation with the district's youth and sports directorate. Students also organize visits to historical and cultural places in the surrounding provinces and districts. What awaits you after graduation?

Students who complete the 120 ECTS credit program and meet the program qualifications are awarded an "Associate Degree" in the relevant program and are entitled to graduate with the title of "Professional Staff". They can work in health, tourism, sales, marketing, finance, human resources, marketing, management, accounting, advertising, etc., and can work in their fields.
