ABOUT MEDEK
MEDEK was established to contribute to the development of a qualified workforce in line with Türkiye's strategic development plans and to improve the qualifications of Vocational School graduates. With this goal in mind, the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK) was founded in 2021 with the encouragement and support of the Higher Education Council. In 2023, MEDEK received accreditation authorization from the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) for 83 Vocational School programs. This authorization allows for the evaluation of the compliance of Vocational School programs with established standards, quality criteria, and performance metrics. In this context, it contributes to shaping the qualified workforce of the future. Our association, authorized in the field of accreditation, contributes to improving the quality standards of Vocational School programs, enhancing education and training processes, and making learning outcomes more consistent through rigorous processes managed by an experienced team. Accredited programs are brought into compliance with the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TYÇ) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), ensuring international recognition and enabling businesses to access a more qualified workforce. However, the use of the TYÇ logo on the diplomas of accredited programs becomes possible, and the diplomas become internationally recognized. Vocational school students also have easier access to employment opportunities.
MISSION
MEDEK's mission is to provide information, external evaluation, and accreditation services aimed at improving the quality of associate degree programs. Thus, it supports the raising of education and training standards.
VISION
MEDEK's vision is to be an organization that certifies quality by defining the education, research activities, and administrative processes of associate degree programs in accordance with national and international standards, determining the quality of human resources, and sharing the results with relevant institutions.
